Apple's version of this emoji is considered to be representative of the traditional ingredients from Valencia. Samsung previously displayed this emoji as a Korean hot pot.

Shallow Pan of Food was approved as part of Unicode 9.0 in 2016 and added to Emoji 3.0 in 2016.
